Located in the foyer of Mirvac newly refurbished 367 Collins Street Melbourne.
Falcon Cafe presents to the tenants and visitors a sleek and dynamic offering, stylish food coffee and ambience.
The inspiration behind the design and brand of the cafe was hatched when we became aware of the family of peregrine falcons that live on the 33rd floor of 367 Collins St. The counters and features for this cafe are informed by this, the shapes are derived from the rocky outcrops, in a stylised form. These shapes have also given rise to the logo, the stylised falcon, being a variation on the facetted rock shapes, and origami shapes.
Creating a focus will be the upholstered bench seating area, this will run up the expanse of wall in the stylised folded treatment, a dramatic three-dimensional form with integrated lighting the outline of the logo will be mounted over this with rear illumination, even the furniture has been selected as a counterpoint to the angular design, soft forms, rounded edges representing the falcons form and colours.
